Hydrogeological Assessment

Geo-Design have significant experience in hydrogeological characterisation, groundwater engineering and pressure attenuation, and have been instrumental in establishing design concepts, including mitigations procedures and methodologies for several major schemes.

In addition to understanding the geological structure and mechanical behaviour of a rock mass, a detailed appreciation of the hydrogeological setting is also paramount to allow safe and efficient rock engineering design.

• Inflow Prediction
  The indirect impacts of underground excavations, caused by groundwater inflow, are major planning and design considerations. Permanently drained openings offer significant design and construction benefits, but the hydrogeological impact needs to be fully understood and mitigated where necessary.

  With our specialist industry partners we are able to offer Hydrogeological Risk Assessments and Sustainable Drainage design solutions for a range of engineering sectors.
