Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) are delivering a Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) as the safe, secure and long-term solution for managing the UK’s most hazardous radioactive waste.  The GDF will isolate nuclear waste underground at depths between 200 to 1000m below ground (or seabed).

Geo-Design were commissioned by NWS to independently review a report on induced seismicity as part of research for the development of the GDF, the review considered realistic target levels for induced micro-seismicity caused by construction of a GDF.
